About Me

A little bit about myself, and how I came to know my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Hello! I’m
Holly Michael.

Like many people, I spent most of my life struggling to know who I was and what my purpose was. I worked hard to “fit in” and “be good enough.” I struggled to process statements and identities others had made about me. I wanted to be enough. I wanted to find peace “being me.” And, I did. I found it when I found Jesus. I discovered a Savior whose love overwhelms me, whose life teaches me how to live, whose sacrifice shows me how to love. I started this blog after praying about it for almost a year.
I tend to be quiet (until you know me). I am realizing that this isn’t how I want to live my life. The work of Jesus needs to be celebrated every day. I want to shout it from the mountain tops. Too often, I have shared it with my family and friends. For me, that isn’t enough. Jesus deserves my voice, loudly, every single day.

Letters from a Mom is both a personal project for my children and a challenge for other moms. For my children, Eason and Abby, I want to write the things Jesus is doing. I want them to see the way He leads us daily. I want to help them increase their awareness of His leadership in our lives ever single day.

For other moms, I want to challenge you to write love letters to your children. I believe that letters leave a legacy. As your children age, they can return to the letters and be reminded of lessons that might have been forgotten if they were only spoken verbally.

Over time, I hope to create an equipping section of the blog to help you think about letters that you might want to write to your kids.

Until then, if I can pray with or for you, please let me know.

Drop me a letter!
